The new Apprenticeships framework will be functional from 1st April 2011.
Currently it is expected that on the new framework learners will have to complete:
- Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
- Level 2/3 Certificate in Preparing for Work in Adult Social Care
- Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care, and Children and Young People’s Settings.
- Functional Skills
- Personal learning and Thinking Skills

Any extra qualifications or requirements that are important for your chosen occupation which the training provider may agree with the employer that you are working for.
